FAQs
Below are some common questions we have been asked in the past.
How much does a Pay Monthly Website cost?
At A Website for Your Business, we like to keep things simple with low rate monthly plans. Our small business websites start from just £44.00 per month with no setup fees. You can view our website pricing here.
There are no other costs.
Why should I pay monthly instead of a one-off cost?
Your website is your shop window where potential customers check out your products and services.
Instead of a huge upfront quote for a website, an all-inclusive pay monthly option should be considered. If you are a small start-up, this can free up valuable cash-flow. When everything is wrapped up in a monthly fee you can easily plan and stay within your budgets and know that’ll you won’t be charged for extras.
Paying monthly ensures an ongoing service. Unfortunately, many companies fall into a trap of paying upfront for a website and then having to negotiate a price for support when they encounter a problem or when they need to get their site updated.
Why is there an ongoing monthly fee?
Your ongoing fee is to keep your site up and running for you. This includes website hosting, domain name renewal, on-page SEO, editing and updating of content, security updates and upgrades, scheduled backups and SSL certificate.
You won’t need to get involved in anything ‘techy’ and we will do it all for you.
Are there any hidden costs?
No, none.
Just one simple monthly fee for setup and ongoing management. It’s all-inclusive. Unless your requirements change, there are no other additional costs involved
How do I update my website?
If you’d like any changes, additions, or alterations to your website, simply email support@awfyb.co.uk and we’ll do everything for you.
Will you provide a domain for me?
If you have a domain name already we can build your new website on this domain or else we can purchase one for you at no additional cost.
I already have a domain for my business. Can I keep it?
Of course. There is a simple process to redirect the Name Servers before we can start work with your site on our servers, and we can even do this for you. Rest assured that you remain the owner at all times.
How do I pay for my new website?
All payments are taken through a secure 3rd party provider named Stripe. You have full control over your payments.
We don’t store any of your card information ourselves.
Will I own the website?
Yes, the site and content will all be yours. Please note that stock images may have 3rd party copyright and there are ongoing licenses for software development involved. If for any reason you need to move away from our services or close your website, we’ll do our best to help and you’ll receive copies of all content for your records.
Am I tied into a contract?
There is a minimum contract of 12 months (but we hope you’ll stay with us for for years!)
This gives your website the best chance to rank highly in local SEO searches.
We understand things change, however, so if you need to move or close your account with us, we’ll do everything possible to help you move smoothly to another provider or close your website, whilst ensuring you receive all content and materials used during the process.
How soon will my website be live?
Our aim is to launch your new website as quickly as possible. Normally after 7-10 days (after receiving all information) we will send it through for you to review before we take it live.
What platform is my website built on?
We build all websites using the WordPress Content Management System.
Is my website secure?
Yes. As part of the premium hosting we include an SSL certificate.
Is my website backed up?
Yes. As part of the premium hosting we set up a backup of your website to run everyday on a rolling 30 day basis just in case anything happens.
What happens if my monthly payment fails?
If for some reason your monthly payment fails, for example if your card expires, we will contact you to add the new card details. If after 2 weeks payments are not up to date we will suspend your website and it will not be visible to anyone until outstanding payments have been received.
